Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the DPA Affordability Calculator ("we," "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. We built this tool to be useful without demanding your data — you can use the entire calculator, see your results, and download your report without giving us anything.

1. Information we collect

• Calculator inputs (income, debts, savings, credit range, etc.) — processed entirely in your browser. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Your email address — only if you voluntarily submit the "email me my report" form. This is optional; results are shown without it.
• Basic technical data — standard server logs and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics (e.g., page views). We do not use this to identify you personally.

2. How we use it

• To send you the report and educational follow-up emails you requested.
• To improve the tool's accuracy and usefulness.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

3. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of reputable processors who handle data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• MailerLite — email delivery and list management (stores your email if you subscribe).
• Gumroad — checkout and payment for our digital products. Gumroad processes your payment details directly; we never see or store your card information.
• Site hosting & fonts — static hosting and web-font delivery serve the page to your browser.

4. Affiliate & advertising disclosure

Some outbound links (for example, lender-comparison links) may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a fee if you use them. Lenders and offers are never ranked or ordered based on what they pay us. Any ads shown on informational pages are clearly labeled.

5. Your choices & rights

• Unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email we send.
• Access or delete your data — email us and we will remove your address from our list.
• Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your data. We honor these requests.

6. Children

This tool is intended for adults making housing decisions and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here.
